Theatre arts program presenting “Our Town” this weekend
The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance’s theatre arts program will present Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece “Our Town” Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 11-14, at the Casino Theatre.
Performances will be given at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while 2 p.m. performances will be given on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $15 for general, $10 for seniors and military, and $8 for students and faculty.
“Our Town” takes audiences into the heart of a charming and rich community during a time where everyone knows their neighbors by name, automobiles have yet to be seen and bottled milk is still delivered fresh every morning. Through chapters in the lives of Emily and George, the residents of Our Town provide a glimpse of daily life, love, marriage and ultimately our inevitable death.
Directed by Tom Gleadow, a professional actor who has performed throughout New England, New York and Chicago for more than 25 years, the cast includes:
