Three named to all-conference team
Brianna Del Valle ’15, Meaghan Harden ’16 and Marissa Pendergast ’14 have been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference all-conference team for women’s basketball.
Del Valle ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage and has posted nine double-doubles. She scored a career-high 24 points in a win at Nichols College, and her career-high 22 rebounds in a win at Curry College trail only Kerry Ceurvels’ four individual game marks.
Harden, the 2012-2013 rookie of the year, is currently leading the league in scoring. She is one of only three players in Seahawk women’s basketball history to have multiple 30-point games. Harden recently became the quickest player to reach 900 career points.
The league’s leading rebounder, Pendergast also became the 12th women’s basketball player in Salve Regina history to reach the 1,000-point milestone. The only player in the league averaging a double-double, she has matched her career-high in rebounds (15) three times this season.
The Seahawks travel to Biddeford, Maine on Thursday, Feb. 27 to play the University of New England in the conference semifinals.
