Three Seahawks claim spots on all-conference squad

Three members of the men’s ice hockey team have been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast all-conference team: Alex Pompeo ’16, Evan Schmidbauer ’18 and Evan Schultz ’17.

Pompeo was named a first team defenseman. He leads the conference in assists (14) for a defenseman and is tied for first in the conference for points by a defenseman (18).

Schmidbauer, the 2014-2015 rookie of the year, is tied for the team lead with 19 total points. He matched the team high for assists (14) and scored five goals in 23 games played.

Schultz was named a second team forward. He missed 12 games due to injury but was still able to put up 14 points in the second half of the season, notching six goals and eight assists.

The Seahawks will play at Nichols College at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 in the semifinals of the ECAC Northeast playoffs.
