Three Seahawks earn conference honors

Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference:

Softball: Francesca Galeazzi ’18

Galeazzi was named rookie of the week after batting .700 and hitting safely in all four games as the Seahawks rolled to a 3-1 record last week. She collected three hits in a doubleheader split with conference foe Roger Williams University and added four hits in a doubleheader sweep of conference rival Gordon College. Galeazzi added five runs scored in four games.

Baseball: Ryan Kelly ’18

Kelly was named player of the week after batting .700 in a pair of Seahawk victories last week. In a 17-4 win over Eastern Connecticut State University, he went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI. Kelly also turned in a 3-for-4 showing with a triple, one home run, three RBI and a steal in a 10-2 victory over conference rival Curry College.

Baseball: Christian Vargas ’18

Vargas was named rookie of the week after batting .625 in a pair of Seahawk victories last week. He homered in each game, while turning in a three-hit, three-RBI effort in the win over Eastern Connecticut State and a two-hit, two-RBI showing in the victory over Curry. In the two games, Vargas had a .700 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage.
