Three Seahawks earn conference honors
Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference:
Softball: Francesca Galeazzi ’18
Galeazzi was named rookie of the week after hitting safely in all eight games as the Seahawks assembled a 5-3 weekly record. She batted .625 (15-for-24) with two RBI, six runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Galeazzi currently leads all qualified conference hitters with a .523 batting average, while her .577 batting average in conference play stands third.
Men’s lacrosse: Zach Makoske ’18
Makoske was named rookie of the week after compiling four points on one goal and three assists for the Seahawks. In a 16-7 setback against Western New England University, he picked up three ground balls and dished out two assists. In a 9-4 loss to the University of New England, he totaled two points on one goal and one assist while picking up five ground balls. On the season, Makoske has totaled six goals, four assists and 17 ground balls.
Baseball: Alex Perry ’18
Perry was named player and rookie of the week after batting .625 (15-for-24) with three doubles, four home runs, 14 runs batted in, seven runs scored and a stolen base during the Seahawks’ 5-3 week. He clubbed home runs in victories over Eastern Nazarene College and Wheaton College and added two home runs and four RBI in a loss to Wentworth Institute of Technology. For the week, Perry produced a 1.250 slugging percentage and registered a .667 on-base percentage.
