United Way/Fund for Community Progress campaign underway
Members of the Salve Regina community have always been generous in contributing their time and talents to those in need. In this time of giving, the University has embarked on its annual United Way/Fund for Community Progress campaign.
Employees can contribute to the United Way, the Fund for Community Progress or both through a one-time cash donation or payroll deduction. Payroll deductions will begin with the first pay period in January 2015.
United Way: Donations to the United Way will benefit the organization’s Community Impact Fund, which supports programs that promote self-sufficiency, strengthen families and help children succeed in school. Donor choice is available for those who wish to direct a pledge to a specific agency.
Fund for Community Progress: The Fund for Community Progress is a collection of 26 grassroots organizations that share a common mission to create fairness and opportunity for all Rhode Islanders. From preserving prescription assistance programs for the elderly to improving public schools and creating affordable housing, the fund’s agencies are helping more people than ever before.
All paperwork is due to the Office of Human Resources in Stonor Hall by Tuesday, Nov. 25. All employees making a contribution will have their names entered into a drawing for one of three $25 gas cards.
For more information on either campaign, call Cindy Donnelly, assistant director for human resources, at (401) 341-3160.
