University implements new access procedures for Rodgers
In the interest of safety, and to provide exclusive accommodations to the University community, Salve Regina has enhanced the physical security and access to the Rodgers Recreation Center.
“In an effort to allow increased access as well as a more secure experience in Rodgers, Salve Regina has instituted a card swipe system,” said Jody Mooradian, director of athletics. “This system has allowed longer hours in the fitness room, as well as opening up late evening ‘open gym’ time. This was in response to a request for more hours through SGA and an attempt to ensure safety and security for all.”
The new procedures for accessing Rodgers are:
- From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, the front doors will be unlocked and accessible to the University community and guests. All other non-business hours, including weekends and holidays, will require Salve IDs to access theĀ front left door (south door) of the building.
- A Salve ID is required to gain entry to fitness rooms and locker rooms at all times.
Extended hours of operation are listed below. Students, faculty and staff are reminded that Salve IDs are needed to access the building outside of normal operating hours.
