The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is a group on campus that was formed to represent staff needs and make recommendations to the president and Human Resources around ways to improve the staff experience.

Below are some upcoming dates that SAC is encouraging staff to participate in.

Halloween Pumpkin Painting Contest
Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
McAuley Hall front porch

Come paint and decorate pumpkins, connect with fellow staff over fall-themed snacks, and show off skills to enter a pumpkin into a contest that will be judged by students at various Halloween weekend events. This is a collaboration between SAC and Office of Student Engagement to promote staff and student connections.

Feel free to bring one’s own pumpkin or fill out this form to receive a pumpkin on us for the event.  You can feel free to paint at the event or submit a pumpkin you made at home to the contest. Supplies will be provided, and prizes will be given out to the winners.

SAC Football Tailgate & Game Watch
Saturday, Nov. 4
Tailgate at Noon behind McKillop Library and Munroe Center
Game starts at 2:00 at Toppa Field

Come support the Salve Seahawks as they enter the NEWMAC this year. Attendees can connect and get to know each other over grilled hot dogs and hamburgers grilled by SAC’s own infamous grillmaster, Dan Titus. Feel free to bring a side dish to share. Friends and family are welcome to the tailgate. Entry to game is free with Salve ID.

Fall Staff Assembly
Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m.
Bazarsky Lecture Hall in O’Hare Academic Building

Please come join SAC to hear updates on ongoing projects, voice staff needs and concerns, and connect with fellow staff.  Refreshments provided.

The Staff Advisory Council is committed to fostering effective communication, enhancing the quality of the staff experience and increasing the level of engagement among staff. SAC is formed of various subcommittees, such as Awards Recognition and Morale (ARM), Policies and Procedures, and Onboarding and Training.
