USS sponsoring technology workshops throughout February
User Support Services will sponsor a series of technology workshops for faculty and staff throughout the month of February. Topics will focus on the Microsoft Office 2016 and Office365 products.
Tech Tuesdays
Learn new programs and update skills on old favorites by exploring some of the programs offered in the Office 2016 suite. Classes meet at 1 p.m. in the McKillop Library computer lab 005.
- Tuesday, Feb. 7: OneNote. A digital note-taking program, OneNote has been called a “killer app in education” but is just as useful in business too.
- Tuesday, Feb. 14: Word. Learn both basic and advanced skills in this workshop designed for any community member, with or without Word experience.
- Tuesday, Feb. 28: PowerPoint. The workshop will look at most of the program, from text and images to animations and transitions (and a lot in between).
Office365 Thursdays
Learn more about Salve Regina’s cloud-based Office suite. Participants will look at familiar programs such as mail, Word and Excel and learn more about new programs such as Sway, Yammer, Delve and OneDrive.
Classes will meet at 1 p.m. in the McKillop Library computer lab 005 on Feb. 9, 16 and 23 and March 2.
