Walsh named head coach for women’s soccer
Jane Walsh has been promoted to head coach of the women’s soccer program after serving as an assistant with the program in 2014.
“Coach Walsh has been instrumental with helping the team to move forward and I look forward to see her passion and knowledge of the game come through with each practice and match,” said Kelly Scafariello, acting director of athletics.
After transferring to Keene State College from the University of Rhode Island, Walsh had three seasons of significant participation with the Owls’ women’s soccer program. Keene State produced a 45-23-6 overall record during Walsh’s three seasons, and she earned all-academic honors each year she was eligible.
After graduating with a degree in health science and a specialization in exercise, Walsh is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy. Her coaching background includes stints as a personal trainer (Newport County YMCA, Keene State College) and working with the soccer camps at her alma mater.
