Wilken named player of the week

Quarterback Steven Wilken ’15 was named the New England Football Conference offensive player of the week after leading the Seahawks to a 47-26 win over Western New England University Oct. 12.

Wilken was responsible for four touchdowns as he passed for 324 yards and three scores, and rushed for 66 yards and an additional score in the win. He completed a career-best 21 of 35 passes (60 percent), and his rushing yards came on just five carries for a 13.5-yard average.

In addition, Daniel Ives ’16 was named to the New England Football Conference honor roll for his career-best 11 tackles on the day.

Salve Regina returns to the field at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 to face Curry College.
