Women’s volleyball advances to ECAC semifinals
Jennifer Duggan ’15 recorded a double-double, compiling a team-high 19 kills to go along with 17 digs while leading the women’s volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) quarterfinals Nov. 8. The win marked the Seahawks’ first ECAC championship tournament victory and improved them to 18-14 on the year.
Duggan added to her single season team record for kills by notching 19 kills against nine errors. Taylor Violet ’15 led all players with 43 assists, while Megan Clancy ’13 had a team-high 28 digs. Clare Adams ’15 had a nice all-around game, providing 11 kills, 13 digs, three blocks and two aces, while Erin McGloin ’15 compiled 10 kills and a team-best six blocks in the win.
The Seahawks advance to play the winner of Brandeis University versus Albertus Magnus College this Saturday, Nov. 10. If Brandeis wins, the Seahawks will travel to face the Judges on their home court. If Albert Magnus wins, the Seahawks and Falcons will play at Keene State College.
