Alumni returning to campus for Reunion Weekend 2019

Salve Regina alumni, along with their families and friends, will return to the University and Newport May 31 to June 2 for Reunion Weekend. Alumni from the classes of 1951-1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 are invited to come back to the University and be part of the celebration.

On-site registration will be available in Ochre Court from 3-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit salve.edu/reunion2019 or call the Office of Alumni, Parent and Family Programs at (800) 821-2343.

The weekend’s events include:

Friday, May 31

  • Welcome reception – 5-8 p.m., Ochre Court
  • Class of 1969 reception – 6:30-9:30 p.m., McAuley Hall
  • Night at the Landing – 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., downtown Newport

Saturday, June 1

  • Power vinyasa yoga – 9 a.m., Rodgers Recreation Center
  • Remembrance and reflection – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
  • 50th Anniversary Society Mass – 11 a.m., Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
  • 50th Anniversary Society luncheon and Class of 1969 50th reunion celebration – Noon, Ochre Court
  • Helicopter tours – Noon to 3 p.m., Newport State Airport
  • Class of 1994 25th reunion cocktail hour – 5-7 p.m., Tavern on Broadway
  • Taste of the island – 7-10 p.m., Ochre Court

Sunday, June 2

  • Reunion Mass – 11 a.m., Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
  • Reunion brunch – Noon, Ochre Court
  • Scenic Sunday – 2-4 p.m., New York Yacht Club

      Meet with a member of Admissions Office to hear about Salve Regina's mission, campus life and academics directly from an admissions counselor in a group setting. It's a great introduction to Salve Regina and all the opportunities that exist for you here. 

      A virtual information session is designed for those who are in the college search and application process. If you would like to learn more about Salve Regina University and have your questions answered in a live chat, this is the best place to start. Our sessions last approximately one hour.

      You will also be able to view our virtual tour as part of your registration for this presentation.

      Reunion Weekend will be packed with exciting events both on and off campus. It's been too long since we've been able to welcome you to campus for a reunion celebration, so these events are sure to be worth the trip back to Newport. Return to campus and reconnect with your classmates - all alumni are welcome to attend.

      Hear from University leaders the state of student life and where Salve Regina is headed. Whether you’ve recently graduated or you’re returning after a hiatus, campus has updates!
      This event will be live on campus and live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Please register to receive the Zoom link for the live stream.
