Annual golf tournament celebrating 15th year

Alumni, parents and friends of Salve Regina are invited to participate in the 15th annual Alumni/Parent and Friends of Seahawk Athletics Liberty Mutual Alumni Cup Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, June 23 at Middletown’s Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club.

The tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m. with registration, boxed lunches and photos of each foursome with the shotgun, scramble format start following at 1 p.m. The event will conclude with a dinner, awards ceremony and raffle. Two mulligans per player will be available at a cost of $5 each.

Registration is $600 for a foursome and $175 for an individual, which includes greens fees, carts, snacks, prizes, boxed lunch and a steak dinner. In addition, each golfer will receive a duffel bag, divot tool, baseball cap, one-year subscription to Golf Digest and TaylorMade Burner golf balls. $25 of each registration fee is tax deductible as a charitable donation to the team of your choice through Salve Regina’s Friends of Seahawk Athletics fund.

  • First place – TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2 driver and a Liberty Mutual Insurance Alumni Cup trophy
  • Second place – Liberty Mutual Insurance Alumni Cup logoed leather and canvas duffel
  • Third place – Pair of Sports Vision Eyewear titanium sunglasses
  • Fourth place – TaylorMade golf bag

Individual awards

  • Hole in one (Hole 12)
  • Closest to the pin (Hole 5)

The tournament will also feature a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Seahawk Athletics.

Tournament sponsors include Liberty Mutual, Chris Carney ’90 of ABC Waste Services, Fisher Bus Inc., Jostens, Tomaselli Construction and John J. Surprenant ’89.
