Salve Regina’s inaugural Mercy Summit on Equity and Inclusion begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 9, and staff, faculty and students are all invited to attend this important day of programming. For a full list of the day’s programming and to register, please visit the summit’s website.

As one of the signature events sponsored by the Presidential Commission for Equity and Inclusion, this virtual gathering will offer the University community to listen and understand more fully the scope of issues related to diversity and inclusion on college campuses.

“Over the past few weeks, we have on numerous occasions been able to recognize the many gifts that each member of our University community offers not only to life on campus, but also to family, friends, colleagues and those in need,” said President Kelli J. Armstrong. “We know that Salve Regina is a special place and that amazing things happen when we all come together as one. Through this summit, we have an opportunity to make Salve Regina even better by recognizing the individual dignity of all, and the challenges faced by many, particularly within the college environment. ”

Staff, faculty and students are all invited to participate, either for the entire day or when they are able to as their schedule allows. Most of the programming is offered by members of Salve Regina’s community, and the attendees will be supporting important research and endeavors across campus to help bring more inclusion and diversity to the the University. The sessions should spark good discussion that carries Salve Regina further into its Mercy mission as the future enfolds.

To see all of the information about the day, to register for the full day of virtual programming or a breakout session, please visit the summit’s website.
