Salve Regina’s dance minors will be presenting new works in the annual Student Choreography Showcase, directed by assistant professor of dance Lindsay Guarino. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29, with an additional matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The concert includes a wide range of contemporary choreography and many of the pieces are the final projects for DNC400: Choreography. Each piece is the product of a semester-long process of creative exploration, peer feedback and faculty mentorship.

With almost 40 students involved in the production, this event highlights the wealth of talent and the vibrancy of the dance program at Salve Regina. Due to the large number of student choreographers, the weekend’s performances will be divided into two different programs.

Choreographers presenting at 8 p.m. April 27 and 2 p.m. April 29 include Haley Andrews ’18, Elise Capozzi ’19, Emilee Duffy ’17, Marissa Guerard ’18, Shannon Harrington ’18, Allison Lavoie ’17, Marissa Masson ’19, Zoe Michalopoulos ’18, Hayley Robichaud ’18, Maddie Stewart ’19 and Allyson Storch ’18.

Choreographers presenting at 8 p.m. April 28 and 29 include Andrews, Taylor Becchetti ’17, Olivia Gormley ’17, Claire Horvath ’18, Lavoie, Masson, Samantha Nedder ’18, Robichaud, Natalia Santiago ’17 and Sara Vickey ’17.

All performances will be held in the Antone Academic Center’s Megley Theatre. Admission is $5 for Salve Regina students, $8 for Salve Regina faculty and staff and $10 for general. Tickets will be available in the lobby prior to each performance, or call (401) 341-2250 to reserve in advance.
