Community Service seeking Service Plunge 2.0 facilitators
The Office of Community Service is seeking facilitators for the Service Plunge 2.0. Scheduled for April 4-6, 2014, the Plunge will provide students with a challenging and fun opportunity to lead and learn through active experiences.
“Plungees” will learn the importance of service, social justice and civic engagement through active experiences. They will also meet community needs, identify and build upon community assets, and bring back their experiences to the campus community to share.
Strong leadership skills, the ability to work well with others, and a commitment to service are essential characteristics for facilitators.
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The selection process includes the online application, a resume and a 10- to 15-minute interview with Kelly Powers, director of community service, Kathleen Rendos from AmeriCorps Vista, or Kayley Robsham, graduate intern.
Interviews will be held Oct. 21-29. Applicants will receive an email for an interview time after the application has been submitted.
