Department adds B.S. in health care administration and management
Beginning this fall, the Department of Business Studies and Economics is offering a B.S. in health care administration and management to full-time undergraduates along with continuing education students attending the Center for Adult Education in Warwick.
Representatives from the department will staff an information table in the O’Hare Academic Center lobby between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22. Interested students are encouraged to stop by for details on declaring the major and registering for spring 2014 courses.
The B.S. in health care administration and management represents a coordinated effort between a number of academic departments – including business, nursing, sciences and sociology – to create a degree program that provides students with the knowledge and skills to seek employment in the fast-growing field of health care.
Students in the bachelor’s program are eligible in their junior year to apply to the accelerated bachelor’s/master’s degree program in either health care administration and management or business administration (MBA).
