Earth Day roundtable focusing on the state of the planet
The health of the planet and the University’s commitment to sustainability will be the subjects of an upcoming roundtable discussion sponsored by the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy.
“Earth Day 2016: The State of the Planet” will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday, April 22 in the Miley Hall executive dining room.
Join Dr. Jameson Chace, associate professor in the Department of Biology and Biomedical Sciences, to discuss topics such as climate change, water resources, energy, waste and recycling, food and agriculture and population growth. Bring questions, comments, searing criticisms and/or critical concerns about the University’s relationship to the local and global environment – together, participants will discuss how to put words into action.
Roundtable discussions are open to Salve Regina students, faculty and staff. The Pell Center provides a free lunch. As space is limited, those interested in attending should RSVP to (401) 341-2927 or pellcenter@salve.edu.
