Field hockey names three captains for 2016 season

Field hockey coach Jennifer Foster has announced three captains for the 2016 season: Erin Gendreau ’16, Jessie Severino ’17 and Sarah Thompson ’17.

“With a large freshmen class coming in next fall, we will look to these captains to show the new players how we do things and hold the entire team accountable,” said Foster, whose 2015 team set a program record for most wins in a single season (17). “Erin, Sarah and Jessie work hard day in and day out and that energy is contagious. After a strong spring season we are excited to see what the 2016 season brings.”

The Seahawks will open the 2016 season at home (Gaudet Field in Middletown), hosting the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Saturday, Sept. 1.
