Gallery features creative achievements of senior art majors
The Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery has announced the opening of the Juried Senior Show 2013, which showcases the creative achievements of this year’s graduates in art and art history. The campus community and the general public are invited to attend an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 in the gallery.
The Juried Senior Show features the work of 16 artists working in graphic design, painting, drawing, illustration, photography, sculpture, ceramics and interactive communication technology. They are Dawn Armstrong, Jillian Bartolini, Beth Blycker-Koll, Jenna Campbell, Megan Cassello, Emilie Rose Clauson, Sarah Dupont, Tanya Hovnanian, Bethany Lopes, Elizabeth Miniet, Molly Monarchio, Lauren Napolitano, Brianna Occhialini, Alicia Purden, Alexandra Rocci and Angela Schneider.
Also on Thursday, art history major Molly Richard will give her senior thesis presentation at 5:30 p.m. in the DiStefano Lecture Hall.
The exhibition will close Sunday, May 19, shortly after a closing reception for the students and their families in the gallery.
The gallery is handicap accessible with parking along Lawrence and Leroy avenues. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
