HR continuing Wellness Rewards program in 2016

The Office of Human Resources is continuing its Wellness Rewards program in 2016. This employee wellness incentive program is designed to increase awareness of personal health risks and encourage faculty and staff to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Participation in Wellness Rewards is voluntary. All employees are welcome and strongly encouraged to participate, but only employees on the University’s health insurance plan are eligible for the incentives.

Tobacco-free employee

Requirement: Complete/return annual tobacco-free affidavit to Human Resources. Forms were due Nov. 16, 2015.
Incentive: 20 percent discount on biweekly employee health care contribution rate (based on individual rate).

Annual preventive well physical

Requirement: Have annual preventive well physical with primary care physician during 2016. Only individuals’ names will be provided by Tufts; no personal health information will be shared with Human Resources.
Incentive: $25 payroll credit, distributed in February 2017. Must be actively employed and on the payroll in February to receive the credit.

Wellness workshops

Requirement: Attend at least three workshops sponsored by Human Resources during 2016. Examples include stress management, healthy eating and financial planning.
Incentive: $25 payroll credit, distributed in February 2017. Must be actively employed and on the payroll in February to receive the credit.

Physical activity

Requirement: Engage in 120 hours of physical activity in 2016. Activity may be performed anywhere, including Sullivan Fitness Center, home, private gym and in conjunction with activity programs sponsored by Human Resources. Physical activity trackers are available in the My Salve document library.
Incentive: $25 payroll credit, distributed in February 2017. Must be actively employed and on the payroll in February to receive the credit.

In addition, employees who are members of Tufts Health Plan for at least four months can request up to $150 back on certain fitness center memberships and group exercise classes. For additional information or to request a rebate, visit www.mytuftshealthplan.com.
