Salve Regina’s student employees perform a valuable service to the University. To recognize their contributions, the Office of Career Development will sponsor the inaugural Student Employment Week April 11-15.

All student employees and their supervisors are invited to participate in the week’s activities, which are based on classic board games.

Monday, April 11: Trivial Pursuit Day

Test your knowledge of Salve trivia for the chance to win raffle prizes. Trivia sheets will be available in the Miley Hall lobby between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and must be returned to the O’Hare Academic Center lobby between 2 and 3 p.m.

There will be 20 questions total. For every four correct answers, participants will receive one raffle ticket, along with a bonus raffle ticket for completing the form. Raffle prizes will be drawn between 3 and 3:30 p.m. and participants must be present to claim their prizes.

Tuesday, April 12: Clue Day

Participate in a live version of Clue to determine which supervisor “committed a crime” on campus. Students may work in groups of 1-4. Beginning at noon, one student from each team may pick up the first clue from the Office of Career Development. Teams have until 4 p.m. to visit participating offices and gather clues needed to solve the mystery. Final answers must be submitted to career@salve.edu by 4 p.m.

The first team to guess correctly will win a $10 gift certificate to Jazzman’s Cafe for each team member. The winning team will be announced at the student employment luncheon on Wednesday, April 13.

Wednesday, April 13: Checkers Day and Student Employment Appreciation Luncheon

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Ochre Court state dining room. During the luncheon, play some time-honored board games with fellow student employees and supervisors.

Students who were nominated for student employee of the month/year, as well as the winners of student employee of the month/year and supervisor of the year, will be recognized.

Thursday, April 14: Pictionary Day

Take fun/silly photos with your fellow student employees and supervisors between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the Wakehurst lawn. Students and supervisors can complete certificates for one another.

Friday, April 15: Candy Land Day

Stop by the Office of Career Development between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to pick up a candy goody bag (while supplies last).
