Salve Regina’s Social Work Club will participate in the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Roger Williams Park Sunday, Oct. 21 and is seeking to raise $1,000 to support the American Cancer Society.

Members of the Salve Regina community are invited to help the club reach its goal and can click here to donate. The club has also placed breast cancer awareness ribbons in the O’Hare Academic Center. Students, faculty and staff are invited to take a ribbon to support and bring awareness to this important cause.

One of every two women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to the American Cancer Society for help and support. Donations will help to provide investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research, free information and services for women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
