Undergraduate students are invited to submit applications for the Office of Community Service’s May 2019 service trip to Give Kids the World Village in Orlando, Florida.

  • Read about Emma Murray’s participation in the 2017 Florida service trip.

Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The goal of Give Kids the World Village is to provide everything these families need to make their trip the vacation of a lifetime. Since 1986, more than 160,000 children and families have had their dreams come true at the village.

The village depends on volunteers to fill hundreds of shifts every day. Volunteering at Give Kids the World Village means being part of an organization that is truly unique, helping kids and their families create priceless memories in a time when they need it most.

Applications are available online and are due by noon Friday, Sept. 21. Applications will be reviewed between Sept. 24 and Oct. 3 and decisions will be announced Friday, Oct. 5. The estimated program fee is $600, which includes roundtrip airfare, housing accommodations, trip transportation and meals.

For more information, consult the Florida service trip handbook or contact the Office of Community Service at (401) 341-2440 or community.services@salve.edu.
