The deadline to submit proposals for the fourth annual SRyou Student Exposition – an all-day event scheduled for Friday, March 22 – has been extended to Friday, Feb. 22.

Sessions of presentations, performances and exhibitions featuring the work of students will be held throughout the day. This year’s theme is “Shine Some Light!”

All students are strongly encouraged to submit proposals for any scholarly or creative work they would like to include in the exposition. Sessions will be scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. March 22.

Possible formats include poster presentations or table displays, performances or visual art displays, 15-minute presentations or 25-minute workshops or training sessions. Proposals featuring other formats are also welcome. Proposals that feature interdisciplinary collaborations among students or showcase service learning or study abroad experiences are especially encouraged.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants. Following the afternoon session, a reception for the entire Salve Regina community will be held in Ochre Court. Local merchants will once again contribute door prizes to show their support.

Proposals should be submitted using the form on the SRyou website. Proposals should include the title of work, type of presentation (individual or group) and presenter name(s). Students are requested to obtain faculty or staff sponsorship for their proposal.

The exposition is being planned and organized by a student planning board that represents a wide range of majors and whose members bring a diverse set of skills to the project.
