Theater program holding auditions for “Spring Awakening”

The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will hold auditions for “Spring Awakening” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 in the Megley Theatre (Antone Academic Center, Room 127).
Rehearsals will begin Monday, Feb. 22 for performances April 7-17 at the Casino Theatre. Rehearsals will be held from 6-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Set in the late 19th century, “Spring Awakening” is a rock musical that follows a group of German students as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming-of-age anxiety in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion.
Casting is open to all members of the Salve Regina community as well as the general public. Those wishing to audition should prepare a song and one- to two-minute monologue (or you may read from the script).
