Theater program presenting “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance’s theatre arts program will present William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 9-12, at the Casino Theatre.
Performances will be given at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while 2 p.m. performances will be given on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $15 for general, $10 for seniors and military, and $8 for students and faculty. Members of the Class of 2020 receive complimentary admission to any performances when presenting their Salve Regina ID at the box office.
In “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” moonlight, magic and mirth ensue when four young lovers and a troupe of actors leave behind the confines of Athens and find themselves subject to the wiles of a fairy kingdom. It’s an enchanting evening of romance, laughter and love under the stars.
Directed by Tom Gleadow, a professional actor who has performed throughout New England, New York and Chicago for more than 25 years, the cast includes:
