Theater program presenting “Godspell” March 30 to April 9

The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will present “Godspell” for two weekends at the Casino Theatre, March 30 to April 9. Directed by associate professor Reggie Phoenix, performances will be given at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, with 2 p.m. matinees Saturdays and Sundays.

Based on the biblical book of Matthew, “Godspell” is a vibrant and joyful telling of the final days of Jesus Christ. An electrifying cast and four-piece band take us on a journey of discovery filled with blistering humor, heart and emotion as we are reminded that community is the most important and valuable gift we can have.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors and military and $8 for Salve Regina students, faculty and staff. First-year students receive free admission when presenting their Salve Regina ID at the box office. The cast includes Zach Bailey ’20, Kenneth Benell ’18, Julia Curtin ’19, Racquel Jean-Louis ’17, Daniel Landino ’20, Madisyn Mugavero ’19, Vanessa Sciolto ’19, Bradley Simpson ’20, Jillian Tereshka ’19 and Brianna Tosado ’17. The crew includes Colin Burke ’17, Darren Christie ’20, Ming Fen Congdon ’18, Kathryn Coppa ’19, Alexandra D’Agostino ’17, Laura Jedynasty ’17 and Morgan Salpietro ’19.
