Congratulations to John Militano ’18 and Cory Poplawski ’17, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Militano was named player of the week after scoring 13 times and stealing nine bases in seven games during Salve Regina’s spring break trip. He started the week with four stolen bases and four runs scored in a 9-2 win over Southern Maine University and closed out the week with his best performance at the plate, going 5-for-6 with three doubles and three RBI.

Poplawski was named pitcher of the week after striking out eight in just six innings as Salve Regina defeated Bowdoin College 10-1 in a rain-shortened game. The right-hander scattered six hits and allowed just one run in the outing.

The Seahawks return to action Wednesday, March 30 when they host Framingham State University at Reynolds Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
