Two Seahawks earn conference honors

Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference:

Women’s basketball: Meaghan Harden ’16

Harden was named player of the week after averaging 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Seahawks. In a 66-55 triumph over Western New England University, she nearly had a double-double, with 23 points and nine rebounds. In a 56-53 setback against conference opponent Roger Williams University, she scored a game-high 26 points while shooting an impressive 91 percent from the line.

Women’s ice hockey: Danielle Phalon ’16

Phalon was named player of the week after helping the Seahawks win two games last week. She had two assists in a 4-2 win over the University of Massachusetts Boston and showed off her scoring ability with a hat trick in a 5-3 against Plymouth State University.
