Two Seahawks earn conference honors

Congratulations to the following student athletes, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference:

Men’s ice hockey: Frankie McCormick ’15

McCormick was named goaltender of the week after stopping all 23 shots he faced in a 4-0 victory over Franklin Pierce University, earning his first career shutout in his first start of the season. He improves his career record to 2-3 with an .892 goals against average.

Women’s basketball: Allyson Esielionis ’18

Esielionis was named rookie of the week after averaging 13.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. Her top performance came in a 65-54 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology as she notched a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.
