USS sponsoring technology workshops throughout October

User Support Services will sponsor a series of technology workshops for members of the Salve Regina community throughout the month of October. Topics will focus on Microsoft Office products. Workshops are open to all faculty, staff and students. All workshops will be held in the McKillop Library, Computer Lab 005.
Office 2010
- 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1
- 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Dan Titus will offer an introduction to the newest version of the popular Office suite.
Word 2010
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
Michael Marshall will offer an introduction to Microsoft Word 2010. No prior knowledge of Word is necessary.
Excel 2010
- 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15
- 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 16
Dan Titus will offer an introductory/intermediate class in Microsoft Excel 2010. No prior knowledge of Excel is necessary.
PowerPoint 2010: Movies and Sound
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19
Michael Marshall will teach participants how to add media to their PowerPoint presentations. Some PowerPoint experience will be helpful.
Outlook 2010
- 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22
- 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 23
Dan Titus will cover the basics to advances like organizational tips and tricks, data backup, vCards, signature blocks, Outlook options and preferences.
Publisher 2010
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25
- 2:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26
Dan Titus will help participants create, personalize and share a wide range of professional-quality publications and marketing materials.
Visio 2010
- 4-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29
- 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 30
Dan Titus will teach participants how to build diagrams with professional-looking templates and modern, pre-drawn shapes and easily share their diagram with popular data sources such as Excel.
