VIA program now accepting applications
Members of the Class of 2016 are invited to submit their applications to the VIA (Vital Studies for Whole Life Design) program. All freshmen are welcome to apply to this interdisciplinary program that focuses on how you can design the best possible life for yourself.
Made up of a series of six courses, one per semester beginning in the fall semester of sophomore year, the VIA program encourages students to investigate great ideas and great books from many different time periods, cultures and languages. Courses represent several disciplines, including philosophy, religion, literature, history and psychology, and four of the six courses count for core credit. There is also a VIA section of the capstone course.
Click here for the VIA application form. Applications are due Wednesday, March 20, and students will be notified of their acceptance before the registration period for the fall semester begins. Questions may be directed to Dr. Katherine Lawber, VIA program director, at lawberk@salve.edu.
