Wellness Wednesdays: A meditation to help you relax for finals week
Makenzie Curr ’20, peer wellness educator, is offering her last meditation of the semester on the Salve Regina Student Wellness Instagram account.
This meditation incorporates a body scan, which are great for deep relaxation. You can use this body scan right before bed to help yourself sleep better or before something stressful like a final exam. Good luck to everyone taking finals!

A peer wellness educator (PWE) is a new student leadership position that was added to the Student Leadership Application just this year within Student Affairs. Currently, the program runs out of the Center for Student Development, and Connelly Clifford, office and student wellness coordinator for the center, is supervising the PWEs.
The PWEs assist with increasing awareness around overall wellness and advocating to build a culture of well-being and positive mental health at Salve Regina. Originally, the intent was to develop programs, workshops, activities and other ways to help advocate for wellness on the University campus. Right now, they’re focusing their efforts on their Instagram account to keep Salve Regina students informed during remote learning.
Student Affairs has a wellness page on the Salve Regina website. It links to various offices across campus who have resources or initiatives related to different aspects of wellness. Students will be able to access this site at any time to learn more and gather tools that may be most beneficial to them.
Each Wednesday, SALVEtoday will provide wellness tips to encourage and uplift the University community during this time of remote living and learning. #salvesgotthis #wellnesswednesdays
